The two suspects who were arrested yesterday over the abduction of a youth in Dematagoda were remanded till January 4 by Colombo Additional Magistrate Augusta Fernando.

The CCD had arrested them last evening following their surrender.

Six other suspects are already in remand custody over the incident. They are to be produced before an identification parade on January 4. The two suspects remanded today will also be produced before the identification parade.

Meanwhile, the CCD was granted a court order by the Additional Magistrate to obtain telephone records pertaining to three suspects.
