Sri Lanka Freedom Party Treasurer S.B. Dissanayake said that the National Freedom Front led by Wimal Weerawansa is not a member of the United People's Freedom Alliance.

Speaking to media yesterday, he said that there were only four parties which are officially members of the UPFA at present. They are the SLFP, Desha Vimukthi Janatha Party, Mahajana Eksath Peramuna and Sri Lanka Mahajana Party, he pointed out.

He also said that the differences with the MEP could be resolved after negotiations.

Meanwhile, nine more parties have applied to become members of the alliance, he revealed.

Dissanayake also pointed out that differences between the two camps in the SLFP will also be resolved following negotiations. The SLFP is divided between the Maithripala Sirisena camp and the Mahinda Rajapaksa camp.
