Nishan Premathiratne, an Attorney at Law, has sent a Letter of Demand to LiveEvents.LK, demanding Rs 22 million as damages for the loss,damage,mental distress and injury caused to him and his wife during the 'Enrique Iglesias in Colombo' concert held on December 20.

Through his lawyer, Premathiratne states that he and his wife purchased two VIP tickets prices at Rs 35,000 each, expecting 'VIP treatment'. However, the organizers put them in severe difficulties, he points out.

He further points out the poor organising of the event, which led him and his wife to stand outside the queue for the VIP entrants for several hours. There were no security official and no explanation for the delays, he also points out.

In addition, Premathiratne says that when he and his wife had attempted to move closer to the stage, they were physically harrassed by people who seemingly did not have VIP tickets. The intoxicated crowd turned into a mob, with thunderous howling, creating a degree of fear in him and his wife.
