Two more suspects wanted by the police in connection with the abduction of a youth in Dematagoda were arrested this evening by the Colombo Crimes Division following their surrender.

The police unearthed their involvement in the abduction only after questioning the other suspects.

Six suspects who were arrested earlier are in remand custody.

The abduction took place on December 21 and a defender jeep belonging to MP Hirunika Premachandra was used in the abduction. Premachandra has been questioned on two occasions by the CCD. Meanwhile, the CCD also sought Attorney General's advice on the possibility of arrest of Premachandra today.
