UNP MP Hirunika Premachandra allegedly threatened him after he was abducted by some of her supporters, a 26 year old youth told Police.

Police Spokesman ASP Ruwan Gunasekara told media today that the youth had claimed this in a statement to the Dematagoda police.

The drapery store employee named U. Priyankara said that he was forcibly taken away by six men in a Land Rover Defender on Monday afternoon. The victim turned up at the Dematagoda police station later that night and was later hospitalized.

Meanwhile, six suspects and the defender were arrested by police today.
