Presidential Commission of Inquiry to Inquire and Investigate into Serious Acts of Fraud and Corruption (PRECIFAC) has released the former Minister of Mass Media Keheliya Rambukwella from the inquiry on the ITN controversy.

The inquiry over the case of non-payment of advertising campaign broadcasted in ITN during the last presidential election period is currently taking place at the commission. The commission decided that Rambukwella is not responsible for the alleged default of payment.
