There is an active shooter situation in Dallas, following two officers being shot during protests in Dallas, according to local news station KDFW. The condition of the officers is not known yet.
One officer was a Dallas police officer and the second officer was a DART officer, KDFW is reporting.
Local Fox-affiliate KTVT relayed police commands that the suspect was armed with a rifle in a nearby alley, after previously, the station had reported that at least one suspect was down, following SWAT officers with shields storming a parking garage.
The incident happened during the protests over the police shooting in Louisiana and Minnesota in which two African-American men died.
Reports are coming in that more gunshot fire has been heard in Dallas near the area of El Centro College.
