India captain Virat Kohli has been in Sri Lanka since mid-July and will be there until the first week of September. He has now been joined by girlfriend B-town super star Anushka Sharma on tour ahead of the limited-overs cricket series. The duo were seen posing with India coach Ravi Shastri and some Sri Lankan fans on Independence Day.

Kohli, Shastri and the members of the Indian team hoisted the national flag on Independence Day in Kandy on Tuesday. After sweeping the Test series 3-0, Virat Kohli's men to take on the hosts in five ODIs and one T20I. 

Anushka was seen in the Shah Rukh Khan movie Jab Harry Met Sejal. The movie by Imtiaz Ali bombed at the box office. She is now gearing up for her next with Anand L. Rai that stars her Jab Tak Hai Jaan co-stars, Khan and Katrina Kaif, Sharma is all set to experiment with the genre of horror films. 

Anushka and Virat were last spotted in the US this July.
