If you’re a company working with Apple (AAPL) and you leak information about its new mobile devices, Apple will fine you $50 million. Seems like the company should start writing itself a pretty big check. On Wednesday, Apple posted images and details about its latest iPads on iTunes.
There’s nothing surprising in the information that ended up going public. Apple’s leak shows two tablets, the iPad Air 2 and the iPad Mini 3. Both devices include a Touch ID fingerprint scanner, a feature whose inclusion has been leaked widely already. Neither of the pictured devices is gold, so we don’t have final confirmation of the other reports floating around the Internet. If anything, the pictures seem to confirm that Thursday’s event will feature incremental updates to the company’s tablet line.
