Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA), the investment promotion agency of Malaysia is inviting Sri Lankan businesses to set up firms in Malaysia.
This invitation was made by the MIDA officials, when they met local businessmen at the Ceylon Chamber of commerce Premises, during early this week.
The Malaysian officials, namely Shevulanuar Abd. Karim, a Director of MIDA and Ahmad Asfiya Salehudin, Deputy Director, also a senior official of MIDA said that the Malaysian government offers wide scale benefits for businesses setting up in that country.
Representatives from Amana Bank, Berjaya Hotel, Hemas Air Services, Idac (Private) Limited, International Scholar Educational Services, Ilham-Inspiration Sri Lanka, Just In Time Group, Macksons Paints Lanka (Private) Limited, Praguna Management and Spear International were present at the meeting.
The meeting between the MIDA officials and the Lankan businessmen were facilitated by the Sri Lanka – Malaysia Business Council of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce, while President of the council Nilrukshi De Silva was also present during the meeting.
MIDA says it has facilitated more than 5,000 foreign firms from more than 40 countries to set up companies in Malaysia.
