EDEX, has teamed up with LMRB to conduct a survey to understand the time gap between different stages of school to work transition and the factors that obstruct job seekers from finding the right employment in line with their qualifications and aspirations.
EDEX Chairman Kamal Abeysinghe said this will be the first structured approach to finding out the real HR need of employers at a job fair since the common observation among employers is that they don’t find the right candidate for the job on offer.
EDEX Job Fair will strengthen the relationship with employers from various segments of the economy including insurance, healthcare, manufacturing,banking and finance, engineering, diversified conglomerates, printing and publishing.
LMRB CEO Himalee Madurasinghe said this survey would help to identify the aspirations of job seekers, difficulties they faced or perceived when seeking employment and their constructive suggestions to make this process better.
