The launching ceremony of the ‘’NSB iSaver’’ saving method, jointly created by the National Savings Bank and the Sri Lanka Telecom Mobitel with the aim of further increasing the saving habits of the Sri Lankans, utilizing the modern communication technology, was held under the patronage of President Maithripala Sirisena at the premises of the National Savings Bank Head Office in Colombo, today (16).

The NSB iSaver is a novel experience in the field of digitization and the service will enable the customers to deposit their cash in National Savings Bank accounts conveniently at any time via the 16,000 Mobitel mCash dealer centers island-wide using the NSB iSaver.

Ministers Kabir Hashim, Harin Fernando, Deputy Minister Tharanath Basnayake, Governor of the Central Bank Dr. Indrajith Coomaraswamy, the Chairman of SLT Mr. Kumarasinghe Sirisena, the Chairman of National Savings Bank Mr Aswin De Silva and others participated in this event.
