Micro Cars Ltd, pioneer Sri Lankan automobile manufacturer, is offering consumers the 'Panda Car' with Automatic Transmission to 'Micro Panda' and 'Micro Panda Cross'.
The Micro Panda and Micro Panda Cross rapidly won the hearts of thousands of people since the introduction to the Sri Lankan market in 2010, due to its reliability and high regard for safety of passengers. More than 20,000 vehicles have been sold so far. Both models include the best in class features including the highest safety ranking in the Compact Car category.
The newly launched Panda Automatic and Panda Cross Automatic retains higher safety and convenience features, including a Rotating Shift Knob and Peddle Shifters. Such advance convenient features in the Compact Car segment is now available for the first time in Sri Lanka.
Announcing the new models, Micro Cars Chairman/CEO, Dr. Lawrence Perera highlighted the value of safety and reliability of the new Panda and Panda Cross Automatic. They have been tested in Sri Lanka, a year prior to the launch, he said. The launch was held at Micro Car City Office in the presence of principal partner from Geely, representatives of financial institutions and other stakeholders.
Geely Regional Vice General Manager, Xiong highlighted the strong partnership between Micro Cars and Geely for the past seven years. He stressed the importance of the Sri Lankan market to Geely and its plans in the future to introduce new products to suit different transportation segments in Sri Lanka.
Parallel to the launch of new duo, a special event was held at Diyatha Uyana, Battaramulla to make it convenient for customers to experience the new models at their leisure. Customers at the event observed features, experienced test drives and made reservations for these new models on 11 and 12 March 2017.
