Sri Lankan Embassy in Stockholm together with the Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau participated at the “Tourest - 2017”, the Estonian Travel Fair which was held in Tallinn, Estonia on 10th, 11th and 12th February. This is the first time Sri Lanka participated at this Travel show and the first Tourism Promotion activity conducted by Sri Lanka in the Baltic Region.
The Stand of the Embassy of Sri Lanka was one among many other exhibitors such as Travel Companies, Travel Agents, Air Lines and Embassies that participated at this Travel Fair for marketing and promoting their services related to tourism.
The Sri Lanka stand was adorned with pictures creating a strong visual impact of the wide array of experience Sri Lanka had to offer for the traveler. Tourist information in the form of brochures were handed over to the enquiring and enthusiastic visitors to make them conversant on Sri Lanka and to motivate them to visit the country.
Eye catching videos highlighted attractive places, sceneries of the historical monument; wild life, beaches etc., and they were relayed on the TV Screen at the Sri Lanka Stand. These video presentations certainly drew large crowds.
A wide variety of ‘Ceylon Tea’ and Sri Lankan cuisine were served at the Stand.
All put together, Sri Lanka Stand offered “something for everyone” and this promotion will no doubt inspire even more Estonians and tourists from the Baltic to visit Sri Lanka.
