Local aviation giant Mega Maldives Airlines has launched a special New Year promotion with return fares of only USD 150 to neighbouring Sri Lanka.

The special flight from the Maldives’ capital Male to Lankan capital Colombo is scheduled for December 29 and 30 while its return flights are on January 2 and 3.

Mega Maldives commenced operations to Sri Lanka in November with three weekly flights to Colombo. The standard return fares to Sri Lanka is USD 165 – 175.

The local airline also operates to Indian capital New Delhi and is currently preparing to commence flights to Mumbai as well.
