Ceylon Asset Management, one of the premier fund managers in Sri Lanka, entered into a strategic alliance with SMB Securities, a brokerage firm specialized in equity and debt trading, financial advisory services, equity research and online trading, to promote Ceylon Asset Management’s unit trust funds in Sri Lanka.

Unit Trust Funds are optimal investment tools, offering the investor public as well as organisations to participate in the Sri Lankan debt and equity market with small investment amounts. Each fund acts as an ‘investment pool’ that is invested in different instruments such as Corporate Debt, Government Securities and Publicly Traded Shares.

The alliance between the two companies hopes to create awareness within the investor public and provide them the opportunity to invest in capital markets and profit from Sri Lanka’s economic resurgence.
