President Maithripala Sirisena visited a friend of his from Polonnaruwa yesterday (24) at his home. Somawardhana Weerasinghe is a former soldier, who fought in World War II. They recalled the past experiences they had as good old friends. Hanging on the walls were various posters including one which said "Sri Lanka Prajaathaanthrika Samaajavaadi Janarajaye Anaagatha Agamathi - Maithri" (The Future Prime Minister of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka - Maithri)
