Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi paid his last respects to former Indian President late Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam at Rameswaram this morning. The funeral was concluded a short while ago. Kalam, known as the "People's President" is a native of Rameswaram.

President Maithripala Sirisena signed the special condolence book to mark the death of former Indian President Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam at the Indian High Commission in Colombo.
