‘The ‘Rajarata Rejina’ train, traveling from Anuradhapura to Beliatta, derailed this morning (November 29) near the Colombo Fort and Secretariat Halt railway stations.

The derailment occurred around 11:10 AM, causing the train's engine compartment to go off track and damaging a section of the railway line, according to reports.

Authorities are assessing the situation, and repairs to the track are underway. No injuries have been reported so far.
