President Anura Kumara Dissanayake met with Iranian Ambassador H.E. Dr. Alireza Delkhosh at the Presidential Secretariat on October 25. During their meeting, the Ambassador delivered a congratulatory message from Iranian President H.E. Masoud Pezeshkian.
The discussions covered the current Middle Eastern situation, with President Dissanayake updating the Ambassador on Sri Lanka’s security measures to ensure safety for both tourists and residents.
The President reiterated Sri Lanka's commitment to maintaining a secure environment and highlighted the historical relationship between the two countries.
He expressed a strong desire to enhance bilateral ties.
In response, Ambassador Delkhosh reaffirmed Iran’s commitment to supporting Sri Lanka in areas such as trade, technology, culture, and education, as well as exploring new initiatives for collaboration.
