The guardians of two schoolgirls, who vanished after sitting for the G.C.E. Ordinary Level Examination at a school in Ambagamuwa, have lodged a complaint with Ginigathhena Police.

The students, scheduled to take the exam at Ambagamuwa National School yesterday (14), were expected to return home after the exam. One of the students was accompanied by her parents to the examination center.

Residents of Nagastenne in Nawalapitiya and Agraoya in Ginigathhena, the missing students are said to be close friends. Witnesses recall seeing them chatting near the examination center before they were spotted in Nawalapitiya town still clad in their school uniforms.

Authorities, alerting all police stations, have launched an extensive investigation into their disappearance. Ginigathhena Police are leading the efforts to locate the missing students.
