The body of a Tamil Nadu fisherman, who went missing after they put to sea on August 25, has been reportedly washed ashore in Velvattithurai coast off Sri Lanka.
A senior functionary of a local Fishermen's Association in Ramanathapuram in Tamil Nadu has told this to Indian media on Saturday.
Reportedly, this is the body of one of three missing fishermen. The fate of other two Indian fishermen was not known, local police has told media.
Quoting officials, President of Fishermen's Association T. Sesuraja said that body of Isron, was recovered and sent to Jaffna hospital for post-mortem.
The ongoing fishermen issue has created tension between Sri Lanka and Tamil Nadu on one side and the Tamil Nadu government and Indian Central Government on the other side in the recent months.
