Former Director General of Media Centre for National Security and Deputy Commissioner of Sri Lankan High Commission in Australia Lakshman Hulugalla has been hospitalized following a sudden illness.
Multiple sources confirmed Asian Mirror that Hulugalle is presently undergoing treatment at Lanka Hospitals (Pvt) Limited under Dr. Rohan Gunawardena, Consultant Cardiac Electrophysicologist.
Hulugalle has been admitted to the hospital following a chest pain.
He recently assumed duties as the Sri Lankan Deputy High Commissioner in Australia following a controversy involving businesswoman Sudharma Nethicumara, wife of Salaka Chief Gamini Nethicumara.
Hulugalla was hospitalized on two occassions following attempted suicides in the aftermath of the closure of the Media Centre for National Security.
