The Southern Provincial Education Ministry has requested parents to keep their children home from school if they are running a fever, due to a deadly fever that is spreading in the South.

The fever, which spreads among children, has claimed the lives of five children just this month (May).

Doctors report that the number of children admitted to the hospital displaying symptoms of high fever, cough, and breathing difficulties is on the increase.

So far doctors have identified the virus as on from which pneumonia occurs.
