The Colombo Fort Magistrate has issued an open warrant to arrest Former Ambassador Udayanga Weeratunga through Interpol

The order calls for Udayanga Weeratunga to be arrested and presented in court in connection with the MIG deal investigation. 

The Police Financial Crimes Investigations Division (FCID) is handling the investigation. 

Sri Lanka's attempt to Weeratunga deported from Dubai last month failed as there was no Interpol red notice on the former Ambassador.
