A major fire has erupted in a residential building in Ajman, UAE, near Al Merqab Roundabout on Monday evening.

According to eyewitnesses, Ajman and Sharjah civil defense teams had already reached the scene to put out the fire.

No casualties have been announced yet, and authorities were evacuating the building.

The fire broke out in Amman 1 Tower in Rashidiya 3 which affected another tower.

The police had closed the road in front of the building for traffic and helicopters were also deployed to monitor the fire.
