A bomb attack has killed 12 police officers, a soldier and one civilian at a polio vaccination centre in the Pakistani city of Quetta.

Syed Imtiaz Shah, the local police chief, says the bombing of the centre on Wednesday also left 23 people wounded.

Meanwhile, Police official Shahzada Farhat said the attack appeared to be a suicide bombing, but investigations were ongoing.
