Bahrain has cut diplomatic relations with Iran following the storming of Saudi Arabia’s embassy in Tehran, Reuters reported, citing state media.
Accordingly, Bahrain authorities have demanded that Iranian diplomats leave the country within 48 hours.
Bahrain is the second country, after Saudi Arabia, to cut off diplomatic ties with Iran over the incident.
Protests flared up across Western Asian over the recent execution of Nimr al-Nimr, a prominent Shia cleric.
A majority of Bahrainis are Shia but the country is ruled by a Sunni ruling dynasty.
