Dr Harishchandra Yakandawala is appointed as Medical Director of Family Planning Association of Sri Lanka (FPA) with effect from November 2016. 

With over 20 years’ experience in the fields of Health and Education and being proficient in Programme Management of Adolescence Health, Sexual and Reproductive Health and HIV/AIDS at national and district level including conflict affected and emergency situations, his presence in the Organisation is of great value.

Dr Yakandawala, is a Member of the Sri Lanka Medical Association, the College of Community Physicians Sri Lanka, UNAIDS Working Group 2000-2007 and of the Peradeniya Medical Association.
