John Keells Group senior management members Krishan Balendra and Gihan Cooray have been appointed as Executive Directors of the group parent John Keells Holdings PLC (JKH) with effect from November 5, 2016.

Mr. Susantha Ratnayake, Chairman of John Keells Holdings PLC states that these appointments are in line with the plans of succession of the current Executive Directors who will be retiring shortly.  Messrs. Ajit Gunewardene, Deputy Chairman, and Ronnie Peiris, Group Finance Director, will be retiring at the end of December 2017 and Mr. Susantha Ratnayake will be retiring at the end of December 2018.

He further stated that the Group has, over the years, developed a substantial pool of young, talented individuals and that the depth of leadership augurs well for the Group’s future.

John Keells Holdings PLC (JKH) is Sri Lanka’s largest listed conglomerate in the Colombo Stock Exchange.
