It is specially intended to provide high speed and secure connectivity for all e-Government initiatives. It would be used for opening LGN backbone for providing free Wi-Fi services to the people. The lack of speed in the LGN was the main obstacle to successfully operate and was inadequate to digitize the economy as envisaged by the government.
