Sri Lankan Air Lines yesterday stated that all airline crew members to undergo periodic random substance abuse testing as required by Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka. Any refusal to take such a test while on duty is amount to violation of the regulation issued by the Civil Aviation Authority and if anyone doing so will be subject to disciplinary action.
The airline assured that it will adhere to the highest standards of safety and will not compromise in its duty to its passengers when carrying out periodic random substance abuse on technical crew. The safety and security of the passengers is always their first priority, Sri Lankan Air Lines stated.
