National Kite festival and Competition themed Nil Ahase Wasanthaya will be held on August 28 at the Negombo Beach Park.

Organized by the National Kite Organization it is being held for the ninth year.

The competition is open for both Children and adults. For children less than 14 years in the events “The most Creative Kite” and “Nature Kite”.

Apart from the kite festival there will be a sand castle competition themed world peace. Parallel to the kite festival, there will be a kite parade themed “A Drug Free Country” commencing at 8 a.m. from the Negombo town.

International Rotary Clubs and interact clubs support the cause which  is endorsed by Presidential Task Force  on Drug Prevention  has joined hands with Kite Sri Lanka.
