Computer problems forced US carrier Delta Air Lines to ground flights nationwide on Monday morning.
"Delta has experienced a computer outage that has affected flights scheduled for this morning. Flights awaiting departure are currently delayed," the company said in a statement, adding that flights already in the air were "operating normally."
It also issued a tweet with the information.
It was unclear whether all its flights were affected.
The company gave no other indications as to the nature of the problem, but said its IT systems were down everywhere, with the company website among the applications affected.
Delta is based in Atlanta in the southern US state of Georgia. Its runs flights to destinations in 64 countries and is one of the world's largest airlines in terms of passenger numbers.
