Popular Indian TV actress Divyanka Tripathi has replaced cricketer Kumar Sangakarra. No, not in any cricket related venture. But in a television commercial that is aired in Sri Lanka.

Actually, the Yeh Hain Mohabbatein Star is quite popular in Sri Lanka. The show is aired as Me Adarayai in the Island nation. A beverage brand recently posted an advertisement on their social media pages, in which the actor was portrayed as daughter-in-law and a mother.

The product was earlier endorsed by Kumar Sangakkara, Bollywoodlife reported.

“I was in Sri Lanka for three days. I am overwhelmed by the reception I got there – right from the airport to shops, everyone identified me as Dr Ishita. As an artiste, I can’t ask for more. I am very touched that people love Yeh Hain Mohabbatein so much,” Bollywoodlife quoted the actress.

“I am planning a personal trip in near future. I want to see the sight-seeing spots, especially those related to the Ramayan like Ashok Vatika and Temple of Ravan,” she said.
