The Chinese government has invited third-party organizations to evaluate the effects of its policies and measures rolled out this year, a government statement said Friday.
The statement, released by the General Office of the State Council, China's cabinet, said the evaluations are meant to ensure policies achieve the desired results.
It said policies and measures being assessed include one urging authorities to improve the environment for entrepreneurship and innovation by lowering barriers and strengthening public services, and another focused on helping small and micro enterprises grow.
The Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and Peking University are among the organizations selected to evaluate the policies, the statement said.
They will assess people's satisfaction with the policies and whether they need adjustments through home and business visits and online surveys, according to the statement.
It added the third-party evaluation report will be presented to the State Council by the end of August.
